BHOJPURI, from Bihar, India: I was living in sin. I used to be a regular visitor of the temples to worship the gods. I did everything to please the gods, but my desires were never fulfilled. I wanted to have peace in my heart. Once there was a big religious fair in my city. A big crowd was there, and people had come from distant cities. I was watching everyone and observed that they had come only to seek peace. I, too, took a vow in the name of the idol and gave my offering, but I did not get the peace I was seeking. While I was wandering in the fair, a man came to me and gave me a tract to read. It was the message about salvation. After reading the tract I wrote to the given address, and they sent me a New Testament. I did not k now how to pray, but I talked with God every day asking to be saved. After a few months God spoke to me through His Word from John 3:16. I had an encounter with Jesus through this verse. I believed in Him and submitted my life to His care. My life is transformed. Now I attend church and listen to your radio program regularly. The messages fill me with new encouragement every day. I am very thankful to God who saved my life and for the radio program that is my spiritual manna.

The following day I went back to my friend’s mother and asked her if what you said came from the Bible. She showed me that Scripture portion you read. That was the beginning of good things in my life. Because of indulging in liquor, I had lost my job, and my family was at the point of breaking apart. I am now saved and no more a liquor slave. Your programme is a messenger of hope, not to me only but to many more.
