You are the ones who make it possible for us to receive a well-seasoned portion of the bread and water of eternal life. Thank you for your labor of love in this ministry that helps us to begin each day with the Word of God. For two years now I have been in a witness protection program. The rules prohibit me from seeing or talking to other people. We are in a shelter where we are being cared for by guards until they are able to catch the criminals I denounced and who escaped a few days before being sentenced. For this reason we are not able to go to church, and I don’t even know the address of this location [where I am staying]. In light of all this, we have decided to have our own school with our teachers Lemuel and Samuel [our TTB-Spanish production team], and our pastors are all of those who preach on Radio Cultural. We are praying every day that this situation will be resolved so that we can leave this place and once again attend and serve the church. From our TWR follow-up team working with the KABYLE-speaking people of Algeria: Listen to the history of four brothers, and the work of the Holy Spirit of God: Four young brothers, of the same father and mother, were devout followers of the religion of our country. They listened every day to your programs in the hope to discover mistakes in your sermons to dissuade the people who listen to you. After one year of monitoring, they discovered finally that the true Word of God is in the Bible. These four brothers became Christians. They preach Christ’s Word while saying that He is the unique Savior of humanity. My dear friends, I gave you this testimony to encourage you to continue these broadcasts. Because by means of these broadcasts the souls come constantly to Jesus. Pray for us, we are in the first lines of the fight.

ENGLISH, Kalispell, Montana, U.S.A.: I drop off my kids at school and then drive to work and park and listen with my Bible and notepad and pen. I’ve been on board since Esther. This summer the kids will join me. I also listen to the sermons. God weaves it all into my life so well. For example, I read my kids a book about Billy Sunday, and then Dr. McGee referred to him in a sermon – too cool! I was saved by grace through faith about 8 years ago, but didn’t know what it meant until I studied God’s Word.

There is no church here and we do not know any Christians. At the right time he told me about Jesus and tuned the radio so I could also listen to the programs. By listening to your programs I also felt that Jesus was calling me. At first Jesus showed me that I am a sinner. With all my heart I want to be a holy person and to live holy. The only way I know how to do that is by separating myself from the world because there is so much temptation and difficulty in this world. Your program has become our church. We are all by ourselves with only your programs to comfort us.

So many times the Lord has spoken to my heart through something I was able to hear. My favorite teacher is Dr. McGee. ARABIC, from Sudan: Maybe you won’t believe me if I tell you that I’ve been listening to TTB since I was 15 years old, when I was still in middle school. At first we did not have a radio set in our poor home, but my uncle left to work in Saudi Arabia and invited my grandmother to go visit and do the pilgrimage, and she bought for us a radio set. Since then I started listening to different radio stations and had to stop every morning at TWR to listen to the broadcast. Then I didn’t understand a lot of what was said, but now after all these years I started to understand. TTB helped me to know the meaning of all that I’ve been listening to, because it explains the Holy Bible in a very understandable way.

I have told them about Jesus but they declare they are Muslims. I like the TTB program and listen to it daily. This program is helping me in my daily walk with God.

KABYLE, from Algeria: I greet you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Thank you very much for your efforts and perseverance in the work of the Lord. You are my family, the family of God. All my hope rests on my Lord Jesus Christ. I spent some difficult times after my conversion to Christ. As Jesus said, “The world will hate you because of My name.” Therefore, my first opponents who came to persecute me were my family members. Listen to my small story! I am a woman of 40 years. I’m not married. My mother is a follower of the religion of our country. She was the first to persecute me. She told me, “Allah knew that you were going to abandon your inherited religion to follow Jesus of the pagans, and that is the reason why he did not give you a husband.” She told me: “You lost your happiness!” That day I cried much! In the evening, I listened to the Thru the Bible broadcast. The program was about perseverance in our walk with the Lord. Toward the end of the program you recommended to your listeners the reading of Psalm 121, the Hymn of Degrees. I have read the psalm that says: “I raise my eyes unto the hills. From where will my help come? My help comes from the God, who has made the heavens and the earth…” and so on. I read that psalm that you had recommended to me like a prayer. God is good. One month later God sent me the mate of my life who is now my husband. He has the same age as me, 40 years. A miracle happened, God has given us a son, a beautiful healthy baby boy. My mother, who was persecuting me before, was glad and came to congratulate me. She said to me, “I am delighted, not because you have a husband and a son, but because all this will end one day! Because I realized that Jesus loves you, that he is a loving God and Almighty. Starting today, I belong to Him, He is my God and I am his handmaid forever. I ask you to forgive me, my girl, for the bad treatment that I gave you when I was in the darkness of our inherited religion.” We thank you, Thru the Bible, for the light of Jesus that you send us every day. Because you liberate each day hundreds of souls that are trapped in the darkness of religion, and the souls come to Christ. Be blessed by God!

DUTCH, from Holland: I am reading through the whole Bible at the moment. I read the New Testament last year and this year half of the Old Testament. Now I must say that I believe the Bible from cover to cover, but sometimes I have to say that I don’t understand what I’m reading, but I do believe it. I find your program wonderful. I’ve been listening for a short time now, and I have read through Leviticus, but with your explanations this book has become so much clearer to me. God’s love to you and your work!

I have been able to learn and understand things I didn’t understand before from these booklets based on the Word of God, and I have been edified spiritually. I give many thanks to the Lord because I can count on a marvelous station like Radio Trans Mundial (TWR) and on a program with such teaching like A Través de la Biblia (TTB Spanish). KABYLE, from Algeria: We thank you for your evangelical programs, which strengthened us a lot in our faith. At the house, we are all converted to Christ. Thanks to God and your programs, the Word of Jesus reached us, up to the home by means of the radio. My father was the first of us who listened to your programs on TWR, without telling anyone! I am going to tell you in a few words how he met Jesus, his Savior. My father was a devout follower of the religion of our country. He [went] to the place of worship in this village to pray five times a day. As he was a retiree, he had plenty of time to do it. One day, he told us: “Listen to me, my children! I took a solemn decision. Henceforth I will never again put my feet in the place of worship to pray.” My mother was surprised. She told him: “Is it old age that makes you lose your head? Instead of thinking that you should make the pilgrimage to Mecca, to visit the house of God, you want to leave the place of worship, which is the temple of God?” My father answered her: “Did I lose my head? You have the right to say so. Indeed, I had lost my head during the thirty years that I believed that God’s house is really in Mecca. I was unhappy until the day when I heard the word of truth that declared me the truth that God’s house cannot be anywhere, but that God Himself has chosen to live in the heart of humans by Christ.” As my mother was a very submissive woman, she said to my father: “Where did you learn these things?” He answered her: “God’s men announced this good news on TWR radio [TTB-Kabyle program]! Tomorrow, I will make you listen if you want to!” My mother shuddered of joy, and said to him: “Peace and joy that I don’t know how to express have filled my heart at the same instant when I listened to what you said about God.” My father replied: “You should rather say that it was God who filled your heart through Christ. It was from Him that came joy and peace that you received. Therefore, it is useless to move to Mecca to meet a god. It is God who moves toward us in Christ to meet us,” my father said! I am 16 years old and my sister is 21 years. We are all in Christ. My mother, because of her fragile health, cannot go to church with us. Please pray for my mother. She is nourished spiritually only through your programs, like hundreds of other people. We stay united in our prayers.

ROMANIAN, from Botosani, Romania: I want to tell you the history that I have with TWR programs during the years. We were listening with a great interest and pleasure to these programs. My whole family was near the radio set listening. These messages were a great spiritual food for us. Their impact in my life is confirmed today by the ministry that I am involved in. The members of my church are familiarized with TTB programs since Ceausescu’s regime. One of our old members, who was the presbyter in the church at that time, bought a radio set and he was going to different families from the church to listen together to the TTB programs. Because of that, he suffered repercussions from the communist authorities. There are many poor and old people in our village and if it’s possible please send me some solar radios to distribute them in my area. I think these radios will be a blessing for these families.

PORTUGUESE (AFRICAN), from Angola: I was blind but now I see. This is the only way I can explain what TTB is doing in my life. I am so blessed by this programme that my life changed radically.

GUJARATI, from Gujarat, India: I was born and brought up in a Christian family. My parents … attend church regularly. They also tried to teach me the scripture, but I was not interested. My friends are non-Christians. They mocked any person who accepted Jesus Christ. I also joined them. I didn’t go to church or listen to my parents. One day when my parents were listening to [the program], I also joined them because I could not sleep. The teaching was about a wicked person. It touched my heart. I thought about myself. I decided to listen to this program regularly. I have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted the Lord in my life.

ROMANIAN, from Hunedoara, Romania: Through TWR Romania God had mercy on me, because many times I was searched by the Holy Spirit after hearing your programs – especially Thru the Bible, but also the other preaching and testimonies that you transmit. In 2000 I made the decision to commit my life to the Lord Jesus who paid for my sins. Many times after hearing TTB I was kneeling with tears in my eyes. I asked God to give me a chance and not let me [leave] unsaved from this Earth. I was addicted to alcohol and smoking until 2000 when God delivered me from these bad things. But my wife divorced me and that was very difficult for me. That’s why I started to drink again. I tried to kill myself twice by taking pills, but I didn’t succeed and I ended up in a mental disease hospital. In 2002 I wrote to you, and I felt such a great joy when a pastor answered my questions about smoking and others. No one else cared for me and this man, who didn’t know me, from 400 km away answered me – giving me advice and telling me to pray, to fast, and to go in a church asking help in prayers. Now I realize that the Holy Spirit talked to me in those moments through your pastor. I started to go to a Baptist church and after a little while I went to a crusade and I accepted Christ in my heart. I felt peace and release, and I knew that I was a child of God. After two weeks I was able to give up smoking and I was so happy. Through you and other brothers from my church, God started to change my life little by little. May He give you strength to continue and to be faithful in this ministry. I am asking you to not stop from your work, even if there are other Christian stations or programs on internet, because there are many cities and people who are like I was – not having other possibilities to hear Christian programs except yours. And how much comfort I’ve found in you!

When I listened to yours I stopped and I thought, “This is something different. I want to listen it.” I must confess that I first thought it was one of those programs that try to manipulate people, but when I listened to it, I realized it was something different and serious. I have been listening to it for two weeks and I always have a Bible with me – a very old one, which belonged to my grandfather. And I am really curious to get to the Book of Revelation. SERBIAN: I am almost 45 years old and live on the Serbian-Bulgarian border. I listen to programs in both the Serbian and Bulgarian languages. I live in a forest, in a house without electricity and with a well in front, taking care of two cows and cutting wood. I have read the Bible for about 15 years now – ever since I found it by accident. Every weekend for the last 10 years, I have walked to the nearest church, 16 km each way. It is fine in the summer because I can do one part by bike, but when it rains and snows I have to walk that distance. Until the snow is 40cm high, I can walk without problems, but when it is higher, I cannot go to town. I listen to you on a small battery radio that I bought in Bulgaria 15 years ago. I am lonely, but I know that God is always with me. I was okay until my mother passed away, but now I feel lonely since it is hard to find a woman who would be willing to move here. In the late evening, the Thru the Bible teaching with Dr. McGee and other TWR programs are my only companions; I follow along with the Bible, reading with a lantern. The programs help me to be in contact with other believers since, with the exception of church each week, I cannot go far from home and leave the cows alone. Your radio program is a light for me during the long nights. (NOTE: The town where this listener lives is, according to state statistics, the poorest municipality in Serbia. My father was a traditional man. He would never allow us to attend church services. He always did his best to protect us as his children. We were well taken care of. But last month when I tuned to your programme, you made it very clear that apart from Jesus Christ we are not worthy of God’s kingdom. As I continued to listen to the program, the Word of God started to work after four months of regularly listening. The Living Word touched me and I was impressed by it. Before listening to this, I had been suffering from some wrong habitual things. I used to be proud of my caste, as I am from one called high Brahmin caste. I came to know the Lord when I was a child but during my adolescence I wandered away from God. My life has been a lot like the people of Israel. I became very disillusioned as I began to see false teaching in the church. When I found your program my first reaction was that you would be the same as the rest of them and I would listen for awhile and then I would change to another station. Every day I would do the same thing but gradually my hunger to study the Sacred Scriptures grew and grew as it says in John 5:39, “You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me.” Now I know that it’s not about religion but it’s about a relationship. Through your explanations I have fallen in love with my Jesus. I close my eyes and I tell Him I love Him and I ask Him to forgive me for having abandoned Him for such a long time. I climbed aboard the Bible Bus as a challenge to my unbelief. Every day I would say to myself, “I will listen to them, but I will not believe,” as if I had been a policewoman at the end of each program. GREEK (field report of a telephone call): A lady phoned, eager to tell us that she had received the Bible she had requested earlier. She has found that she can actually understand the contents of the Bible – this in spite of the fact that the official church has taught her that the Bible is too mystical, too complicated for anyone other than the clergy trained by the church. They teach the people to not even try to read the Scriptures. Many people are actually hesitant or even afraid to pick up a copy of the Bible since it is too “sacred.” The lady has already shared her joy with a friend who has also requested a Bible.

Now many people, understandably, belittle “jailhouse conversions.” The conversion’s validity rests on how long it sticks after you see the judge. Well, praise the Lord, three years later I still listen to the good pastor whenever he is on, I download his sermons to my mp3 player, and I try very hard to live as someone who is saved should live. I had started a Bible study in prison and it did have some success …. The big problems started when we attracted some folks who felt they alone understood the Word and were looking for converts. ENGLISH, from Westford, Massachusetts: As superintendent of our adult Sunday school for the past 10 years, I’ve always been a bit troubled by the fact that our Sunday school studies of a given book of the Bible typically run for the entire year. While this is great for in-depth discussion of the book, at this rate it would take a lifetime for an adult in our congregation to be exposed to in-depth teaching of the 66 books of the Bible, assuming that we could even find a willing teacher for each book. Recognizing the need for an overview of the Bible, we have on several occasions offered a Sunday school discussion class keyed to a program of reading through the Bible in one year. However, we found that the pace is so fast that many important truths and insights are never explored.

Three years ago, one of our church elders, who was already a passenger on the Bible Bus, suggested that we offer a Sunday school class keyed to the TTB broadcast. Participants in the class follow the weekly commentary by Dr. McGee by whatever means they find most effective and convenient. Average weekly attendance in the class is around 10 but they use all the methods for following the commentary including local radio broadcast, streaming audio, podcast, and the multivolume transcripts of the program. Some in our class have elected to receive the monthly mailings while others, like me, are all electronic, relying on the web pages and a podcast subscription to keep up to date. During our weekly Sunday school class, we use the time to share insights related to the scripture from the past week, ask questions, and review highlights of the past week’s lesson. The five-year pace for reading and studying all of the books of the Bible allows us time to absorb important truths while providing in-depth exposure to all of scripture in just five years.

While we have been blessed to be able to participate in the TTB broadcast, it is also a blessing to know that many outside the U.S. also have the opportunity to hear the Word of God proclaimed through your efforts. Your program helps break down the misconceptions and stereotypes of Americans that exist abroad, showing those in other countries that there are still God-fearing, Spirit-filled men and women in this country who seek to enrich their lives, rather than exploit them. May God continue to bless the TTB ministry.

HUNGARIAN, from Germany: I am from Transylvania but I am living in Germany. I have hardships because I do not speak the language of this country. But spiritually I am fine with the help of [TTB]. ENGLISH (AFRICAN), from South Africa: It has been a great pleasure to hear your programme again by downloading MP3s on the Internet. I used to listen by radio, but since I moved to another province I could not listen as the transmission was bad. It is truly the “good news” as I realize that it is a privilege to receive the unbiased interpretation of the Word of God.

TIGRINYA, from Eritrea: I am a young lady in my late thirties, living with my mother who is not in good health. As I am the youngest among my siblings and not yet married, I am taking all the responsibility to care for my old and weak mother. Helping people, especially the weak and beloved ones, is the thing that I like to do in my life. My mother has been suffering from a chronic disease for the past eight years. She has been bedridden for the last five years and cannot come out of the bed without assistance. She has a severe and serious pain especially during the night and never gets sleep. Sometimes she yells to the extent that people from the neighborhood rush for help at hearing her crying. You can imagine the situation mom is in and the atmosphere I am living in. When such a critical and difficult time comes, I usually try to give painkillers to decrease the agony, but mostly this doesn’t work effectively. As an alternative I used to tell stories to divert her attention and alleviate the suffering, but it was not as effective as the one that I am making use of these days. I would say your broadcast is doing a miracle in changing the situation. One night a man from the neighborhood came to visit mom and kept telling her that it is only God’s hand that can cure and give her strength and patience. He was the only one who tried to comfort mom with God’s Word. Unfortunately my mother was not showing any interest to the things being said, but that very night, she was so anxious to have him stay and hear his usual words. He was a bit reluctant to stay, saying that it was time for him to go and listen to the radio broadcast which he did not want to miss. He also added that if he was allowed to make use of the radio in the house and if the household was willing to listen together with him, he would stay. Fortunately mom allowed him to play the radio, and then the good news came to our ears. Mom loved the words being told. The lesson was from Acts 3:1-10. She got excited by what she had heard and forgot her pain, showing an immediate reaction to the Bible teachings, confessing that something had veiled her eyes from seeing the things that could give her comfort and relief. Now listening to the radio lessons and sitting together for Bible sessions and prayer is becoming the noble habit in the household. God’s Spirit is ruling in our lives. The house is filled with sounds of praises to the Lord. Thanks to God the Lord, the pain and the yelling is being overwhelmed by songs of praise. Praised be His name who is extending His mercy to the poor woman and her poor daughter as well.

ENGLISH, from Jacksonville, North Carolina: Dr. McGee’s study in Ephesians led me to spiritual enlightenment concerning prayer, angels, demons, and the whole armor of God. Dr. McGee quoted the Scripture, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers…” and eloquently paired prayer, angels, and demons in his message. I am 31 years old, and of my 16 years of being a Christian I never knew that there were gradations in angels and demons, that when we pray the Lord sends His angels to answer our prayer, and that demons can impede angels from getting God’s work done when answering prayers. These were true revelations to me, but what made a profound impact on my spiritual well-being was that I finally learned how to put on the whole armor of God. I’ve always wondered how putting on the whole armor worked, and prayed to God to help me learn how to do so. Well, God in His infinite wisdom and glory has revealed this to me through Dr. McGee….Glory be to our Father God and Jesus Christ and thank you for continuing to share Dr. McGee’s message of the Scriptures.

Before I knew Jesus I was not following the right path, rather I had beaten many people and persecuted them. I had also tried various religions but did not have peace or convincing truth about life. In vain I had also pursued many sadhus (Hindu yogi) and temple priests. I am fortunate to have come across your program and hear the gospel of Jesus. I regularly listen and have at last found what I was longing for all along. I have confessed all my sins to Him and accepted Him as my personal Savior.

KOREAN, from Changwon, South Korea: I serve as a Sunday school teacher at my church. When I teach, I seem to remember what I learned through McGee’s Bible Study. One Sunday, McGee’s lesson overlapped with what I was sharing. God really encourages and prepares me to teach His Word. Undoubtedly, this opportunity has helped me learn much more about the Bible and to draw closer to God. Thank you for sharing the helpful lessons.

ENGLISH, from Port Orchard, Washington: My step-father and mother have been listening to Dr. McGee every morning for many years, and every time I visit my folks I take part in their morning ritual. Gladly, I can say that it has rubbed off on me. At the start of 2008 I began listening via the Internet, and I now eagerly rise early in the morning to hear the teaching of the Word. This puts me in a prime position to pray about what I’ve learned, and then go into the work world and try to apply it. My hunger for the Word of God has been stirred up by Dr. McGee and the Holy Spirit is using the Word to make me a better man. My wife even notices the changes in me, and I’m sure my coworkers do, too, although they don’t mention it. I have a strong desire to win lost souls for Christ, and I thank Thru the Bible, the local church, my family, and especially the Holy Spirit.

AMHARIC, from Ethiopia: One day when I walked along the road from the prayer program to my home, I saw a Muslim man with a scarf on his head carrying a radio close to his ear and listening to it with an astonishing mood. I walked closer to him to hear what he was listening to. I was amazed when I heard that it was TTB! Another day I met him on the road [again] and asked why he listens to such a program and gives such attention to it. He told me that he never expected to hear about God’s love, peace, and justice and that the program has left something invaluable in his heart.

MALAGASY, from Antananarivo, Madagascar: I was at the hospital waiting my turn for surgery. I was scared and fearful. But great was His faithfulness and His plan to be able in that difficult time to hear your teaching pastor who really uplifted my faith and my trust on Him and Him alone.

ALBANIAN, from Albania: This program is a blessing for our home. My mom, my dad, and my little brother listen to it regularly. We are learning great teaching, especially from the Old Testament. Before, we had been studying a lot from the New Testament, and to tell the truth we didn’t know a lot about the Old Testament. But thanks to the TTB program we are getting close to this section of the Word of God. I have been touched especially by the prophetic books. It’s amazing how God works. God bless you.

ENGLISH, from Jeannette, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.: Twelve years ago I prayed one day for a Bible study I could do on my own at home since I was a very busy mom of a toddler. The next week I was driving home one evening and turned to WORD-FM and I heard all about the Bible Bus and how the tour was going to start very shortly. I went home that evening knowing that God had answered a prayer very quickly! I called that night and got on the bus and never looked back. What a great trip it was and still is when I can listen. These days I am a mother of a teenage son who has autism. I am still a busy mom – no, I am way busier than I ever was! The Lord is leading me to start a support group for families who need help for what can sometimes be a most devastating diagnosis. Thanks to your program for getting me grounded early on! My faith was definitely strengthened from the teaching it provided. My support group will definitely have a biblical focus letting everyone know from where our strength comes. The Lord gave me the name: Glory & Grace. He told me that if we give Him the glory for entrusting us with these children, He will give us the grace to get us through whatever we face.
