The generosity of a church in Lisbon brings TTB to a new audience in eastern Portugal

In May we received the good news from Rubinho Pirola Filho, Trans World Radio’s director in Portugal, that soon TTB in the European-Portuguese language will go on the air in Castelo Branco in eastern Portugal.

Castelo Branco, which translates literally to “White Castle,” is one of the most challenging places in Portugal to reach with the gospel, as it has very few evangelical churches. These airings will be paid for by a church in the Lisbon area, which has agreed to cover the costs of broadcasting for two years! Rubinho’s words mirrored our own gratitude for such a gift when he wrote, “I am very pleased to God for this offering we got for the first time ever from a church in Portugal! Praise the Lord!”

With the addition of this broadcasting outlet, the European-Portuguese program will now reach places that have never been touched before. In fact, the majority of the regions where the broadcast will now be aired have no churches or missions at all.

Believers in Castelo Branco are very happy about the broadcast and are working to gather support and instill enthusiasm among the few churches there, so that they may all be closely involved in the project and follow up work once people begin to respond to the program. Rubinho asks specifically that we pray fervently for this effort.
